After the lock is properly installed the first step is to "include" the lock into the Lynx Touch alarm panel. You will need to have the Honeywell L5100-ZWAVE module. After the lock is paired it is time to program codes (termed PINs by Yale). If you have already setup other access pins on the lock you will want to manually delete them or just default the lock. After you have the master pin setup you will want to setup other PINs at the Honeywell Lynx Touch alarm system. Whether you have a L5100, L5200, L5210 or L7000 they all work the same way. From the touchscreen display home screen on your Lynx Touch, press Security > More > Tools > Enter your Master Code (Default is 1234) > Users. Now you can create new user codes by pressing "add new" along the bottom. After typing in the 4 digit code, toggle the "Zwave Lock Control" setting to Yes. By doing this, it will automatically send this PIN to the lock and be configured with locking control. If you want that specific code to disarm the alarm system when used to unlock the door you can change "Z-Wave Unlocking Door" to "Disarm." If you want it to simply serve as a PIN for the door without disarming the system just keep that setting disabled.

You can repeat these steps for up to 25 users since that is the maximum supported on most Yale Z-Wave locks. You can also configure the lock so that each time it is locked it will arm your Lynx Touch system. If you want this feature enabled you will need to go back into the Automation menu: Down Key > Advanced Tools > Enter Installer or Master Code (4112 and 1234 by default) > Locking Door. Now you can toggle the locking door selection to Arm Away, Arm Stay or Arm without auto-stay. Generally one might think to select arm away so that all your sensors are active when you leave your property including the motion detectors. However Lynx Touch panels have a feature called "Auto-Stay" mode that is enabled by default. When enabled if an entry/exit door is not opened during the exit countdown the system will automatically change arming from away with motion active to stay mode which disables the motions. Since you will be arming from outside your home we recommend choosing "Arm without Auto-Stay."

If you plan to use this feature while people are still in the protected space you will want to select Stay.
