Cambridge has come top in a list of the 20 best places to work in 2016 based on a range of factors including average base salary, house prices and population numbers.How employees rate their place of work and the availability of jobs were also included when compiling the list from job and recruitment website Glassdoor.Following in second place was Milton Keynes and in third it was Nottingham but there was no sign of London in the list because of its high living costs and property prices. It was followed by Milton Keynes with a population of 171,750, an average base salary for employees of £36,000, average house prices at £292,692 and an overall job satisfaction rating of 3.5 out of 5.While in third place was Nottingham with a population of 289,301, average salary for employees of £27,814 and an average home value at £181,974. Employees living there gave it a rating of 3.3 out of 5 for job satisfaction.
