Installing new kitchen doors is the quickest, easiest and most cost effective way to renovate a kitchen and improve the value of your home. It can save you thousands of dollars and a lot of time and effort. The first thing you need to do to get your new custom made kitchen doors underway is to decide on the style; will the doors have a design or not? Follow the steps below to help you decide how you want your new doors to look. Door prices start at the “Plain” range and increase to the “Colonial” range which is the top the line. 1. Choose Your Kitchen Door Design Make your kitchen door choices by hovering over the small thumbnails below the image. Drawer Fronts, End panels, Kickboards and More You may also need drawer fronts, panels (with or without a design), glass framed doors, appliance frames, fillers, shelves and kickboards. Read more about kitchen door details here. Door Thickness and Raw Material Our standard door thickness is 18mm and the raw material is Australian made E0 highly moisture resistant MDF. The front and all 4 edges of the doors are painted and the back is white satin melamine. 2. Choose Your Door Edges “Door edges” refers to the shape of the edges around the perimeter of the door. Doors edge types included free in the cost of the door are: 3mm pencil edges – our standard edge type Arris edges – give the door a square look Colonial edge – for a traditional look Other edge types are charged extra. Edges left square are for panels only, where they are against a surface such as a wall, floor or benchtop. Square edges are sharp and should never be left exposed. Panels can be ordered with a “double” edge on one or more sides if the panel edges are exposed (not up against a surface). All edge types available are shown below. 3. Choose Your Paint Colour
Your choice of colours is virtually unlimited as you can choose from any of the major Australian paint brands such as Dulux, Taubmans, Wattyl etc to perfectly match your interiors. Simply visit your local paint or hardware store and advise us of the brand and colour or code. Alternatively, you can choose the always fashionable white, which is our only standard colour. There is a one off $77 fee per custom colour. Next you can choose the finish of your doors, from either satin, matt, semi or high gloss. The satin finish is currently the much popular, being easy to clean and it doesn’t show finger marks as much as gloss does. Even if you’re not sure of your colour yet, you can get a quote from us to see how much you can save by going straight to the manufacturer for new doors. Polyurethane is the most popular and hard wearing paint finish for kitchen doors. It is durable and easy to care for, needing just a wipe over with a soft, damp cloth moistened in warm, soapy water.

4. Either way, you can still save thousands on your kitchen (or wardrobe) renovation by buying the doors directly from the manufacturer. How to Get a Quote or Place an Order for Kitchen Doors The following is a guide on how to measure your doors and panels and fill in our Quote/Order Form to get a quote or place an order. Download and print out our Quote/Order Form (or a couple). We will need all the fields filled in to give you an accurate estimate.
You will also need a good quality measuring tape, pen and paper. Do a sketch of the layout of the kitchen showing all sides and all doors, drawers etc. or take photos of the kitchen and print out the pages to use. Mark each door on the sketch with A, B, C etc. Begin measuring your doors. Measure each door or panel and write down the height x width in mm on your sketch. TIP: The back of the doors have straight edges which makes it easier to determine the exact size. Fixed panels will have to be measured from the front. Check to see if panels can be removed by looking inside the cupboard to see if they are screwed in from there. When you have measured all your pieces and noted them down, fill in the Quote/Order Form with all the doors and panels starting at A. Next to each door size, fill in the other fields in the table. In the Design section write your chosen design or any of the other codes on the form e.g. P for plain, CD and BF for corner and bi-fold doors etc as they apply to the door or panel.
All doors will have all four edges rounded. End panels with exposed edges may need “double front rounded edges” and painting on the back. Note this in the Comments section. If you specifically don’t want edges rounded note them in the Door edges section but any exposed edges should be rounded. Note on the Quote/Order Form whether the door is left opening or right opening. Leave blank for drawers, panels, fillers and kickboards. If we are supplying you with new hinges, you can skip the next step. If you are using your own hinges, we can drill hinge a 3 hinge hole pattern for Blum or Hettich hinges or a single 35mm diameter hole for other hinges. Note your choice on the Quote/Order Form. Measure all the doors from the top of the door to the centre of the hinge hole and the same from the bottom and note these measurements in the Hinge hole positions section of the Quote/Order Form. Fill in the rest of the Quote/Order Form with your name and contact details, address if you require delivery, the door edge type, paint brand and colour (or “White”) and the desired gloss level.

We will not load goods onto roof racks or into the passenger space of a vehicle for safety reasons. Delivery times will be between 8am and 2:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 12:30pm on Friday.
