Maybe the Desert Wranglers is the right group for you! We are a family oriented off road group which focuses on trail rides in the nearby national parks, monuments, and recreation areas. All the trails we drive can easily be driven with stock Wranglers, although 4WD may be required on occasion. In general we don’t have any rules, except for the common sense ones: stay on the trail, stay with the group, and be safe…and you have to drive a Wrangler. We don’t require you to attend meetings or events, and we won’t require you to volunteer for anything. We dislike club politics and don’t do secret membership votes or meetings. Just sign up and you’re in. You won’t be “encouraged” to modify or lift your Jeep, and you won’t be stuck on the trail watching a bunch of guys crawling over the same rocks all day.

Membership fees not required! We have a great sponsor who has plenty of money to fund most aspects our events. Food/dinner and sodas are provided at the meetings. We usually have an unsponsored consolidated “refreshment” table set up at the camp site, and happy hour usually starts a few minutes after we arrive. Four trim levels are available, Sport, Sport S, Sahara and the hard-core Rubicon. All have Chrysler’s smooth and strong 3.6-liter, 285-horsepower V6 engine. For 2017 the Wrangler changes little. New LED headlights and fog lights are optional on Sport and Sport S models and standard on Sahara and Rubicon. Also a new Cold Weather package is available on Sport S and Rubicon models. The new Black Bear Edition adds content to the Sport S model, including off-road rock rails; and the Sahara gets some appearance updates, including new wheels, a body-color bumper applique and an Olive Green interior. A Rubicon Hard Rock edition improves the 2015 Jeep Wrangler's off-road capability. There's also a 31-inch tire package available for Sport models, and all Wranglers get a standard Torx tool kit to remove the roof.

The new 8-speaker audio system can be upgraded to a new 9-speaker Alpine audio system. Changes for the 2014 Jeep Wrangler include a Freedom Edition and a Rubicon X special edition for even more adventuresome off-roading, plus the retro-looking Willys Wheeler Edition inspired by World War II-era Jeeps. A Trail Kit includes a tow strap, D-rings, gloves and a carrying bag, and the Sport is available with 32-inch tires. Improvements for the 2013 Wrangler include new seats with larger side bolsters, additional interior lighting and an available Alpine speaker system. Changes to the soft top make it easier for one person to operate, and there is a new premium cloth option that is easier to clean and triple-layered for better sound deadening. The improvements found in the 2012 Jeep Wrangler can be summed up with one number: 285. That horsepower figure, from a new (for the Wrangler SUV) 3.6-liter V6, constitutes a 40-percent improvement as compared to its 202-horsepower predecessor.

And when connected to the Wrangler's new five-speed automatic (a six-speed manual transmission is the standard gearbox), the powertrain produces both better performance (zero-to-60 times are improved by two to three seconds) and fuel efficiency. If you believe beauty is on the inside, you'll love the modifications made to the Wrangler's interior for model year 2011. New seat fabric, available leather, an all-new instrument panel with revised air ducts, a redesigned center stack and revised radio lineup are just a few of the many changes wrought by Jeep's product team. Although "soft-touch" may seem like a less-than-dirty word to a committed off-roader, it perfectly describes these interior updates, in combination with improved ergonomics and a quieter ride. All Wrangler models now include tow hooks, a new dome light, fog lamps, a compass, an outside temperature readout and a fuel saver indicator light, while the base two-door Sport receives a new full-length floor console and cloth seats.
