In addition to verandas, pointed gable roofs and Mahogany interiors, the charming home features a splendid view out to the Atlantic Ocean. The home sits on a narrow strip of land bounded by Shinnecock Bay to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the south. Full of Asian flavor, it rests on wooden pilings and a series of stairs. The design is meant to keep impact minimal on the ground below, as the property is surrounded by wetlands that support a fragile ecosystem. The loftiness provided by the pilings not only affords amazing views on both sides of this 4,000-square-foot property, but also allows more natural light into all of the levels.

Its exteriors are finished in mahogany siding, chosen for its durability in salty air and harsh elements, and because it recalls the Thai houses the client became enamored with abroad. Verandas are wrapped around the home, providing indoor/outdoor space for relaxation and the enjoyment of the fresh marine breeze.
