Recent changes in legislation brought about with the introduction of Document Q have led to advances in the composite door designs. These advances in design mean that the old Shiplap and Flush Effect styles will be replaced by the new Farmhouse door style from the New Year. These changes have allowed for the introduction of three new door styles. The Newhaven, Elton and Hartington (which will be available with 6 new glass styles). Tri-Sis glazing cassette can be deglazed internally without damaging the door, this is achievable without reducing the security of the door. A new accredited 5 point multi-lock with adjustable keeps has been introduced, providing improved weather rating that can now achieve up to a massive 1200 Pascals. That’s a 50% improvement on previous tests. 100% Increased GRP thickness The new improved design includes an increase of the outer GRP skin thickness from 2mm to 4mm. This change plus the style modifications mean that the new doors now surpass the requirements of Document Q legislation.
