It is much better than the roll type stops, so if you want something to stay in place and stop the cold air this is your product. The magnet is not strong enough to stick to the door without the clips and then with clips on you can't shut the door.. so far it is the best i've ever seen or bought - it keeps the cold out and doesn't get stuck on carpet or any flooring issue. it is also fits perfectly and works great even if the door is used frequently. i'm getting another for my back door! I will be returning the draft stoppers to the store. I bought 3 of them for the metal exterior doors of my home. When I opened the boxes , I was disappointed in the quality. The 3 I ordered looked to be misshapen. They looked like they were only 2/3 full of the filling material. I placed them on my doors but still felt drafts. I was pleasantly surprised at the size.of this item. It covers the bottom of the door well. I am using it as magnetic on a metal door and it works great. I like that it can also be used on a wooden door with the clip on feature.

I looked over this box for instructions and sizing prior to purchase. ONLY thing it said was that it fit doors UP TO 36" and the HOW TO photo's on the box are misleading.

I opened the box and found the instructions. AGAIN, only said it will fit doors UP TO 36". I cut the white inserts to size, after locating where the inserts fit into the fabric and placing the inserts, I noticed the huge amount of extra space on the ends. I checked the fabric for any way to shorten it, as another brand allows, and found none. The door will not close, so product is a total FAIL. The product WILL NOT work on any door shorter than 30", both of my doors are 24". The product has to STRETCH out for the elastic to grab hold and to keep the loose fabric out of way of the door jamb. How ever NO WHERE on the box or on the instructions, does it tell the consumer this information. As far as use for a 36" exterior door?! I have the CORRECT thresholds and door seals, would never use this product on any exterior door. We bought this because we have very drafty doors in my house. the first door we tried putting it on and it kept falling off. No matter how we adjusted it, it would not stay.

The next time we took it upstairs to our main door and tried to put it on. It lasted all of 2 days before we threw it away because it got so tore up from the in and out traffic. Maybe it would work better for other people with less people using the door? For us it was not a good fit. This product (plus plastic covering for windows) helped save money on heating bill. We bought two boxes of these and used them on the front door, back door, basement door and the basement outlet door. I really like the fact that when you are done using them you can put them in the washer and store them till the next year. We have used the same ones for 3 years so far. Over all great product. Very easy to use! As a single woman, I am always looking for products that I can assemble and use without having to call a handyman to install. I am convinced that these saved me at least $50 this month on my heating bill! I am not looking to buy these for all of my doors. Thanks for making such an affordable and effective product!

I purchased several Weathering products last winter. I was happy with all except this one. It would not stay on. Every time I would open the door it would fall off so after a while I just stopped using it. I tried it on carpet and hard flooring but no matter how clean the floor was it would not stay on. We put these at the bottom of our front and back doors, and ever since then we can put our hands below the door and not feel the cold air rushing in during winter. Same thing during summer. if you feel air coming in, spend the money and buy these and you'll be thankful you did. I really like the fact that this attaches to the door. instead of having to reposition after opening or closing the door, its already in place! no more forgetting about it until you feel the draft. also like that this is washable. Used it in our back room and noticed a difference overnight, keeps the cold weather out and helps me save on my heating bill during winter. I just finished putting a double draft seal under my door.

So very easy and the draft is not coming in anymore, it worked. This is for weatherization purposes mainly; however, I live in an apartment building where the doors are about 2" above the floor and the light from the very well lit hallway kept me awake many nights and sometimes it's even difficult to GO to sleep because of the distraction! NOW I can go to bed and fall to sleep much easier. I wish I had have known about this product when I still had my home because it would have been PERFECT for keeping the cold out in the winter and keeping the warm out in the summer while using my AC. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product (Double Draft Seal) to anyone, whether they live in a regular home and need to weatherize it around the doors and/or windows OR, like in my case, anyone living in an apartment who needs to keep hallway lights from shining in their apartment!! An excellent product that was quick and ease to apply; plus this particular one was a 2-pack, so if I need it for any other of my doors, I can use it or just keep it for an extra!
