Cabinet refacing involves all new doors, drawer fronts, hardware, and hinges, and the re-laminating of your existing cabinet boxes. From the outside, your cabinets will look brand new, and since most people in your home won’t be looking inside your cabinets, it can be our little secret.

We also build custom cabinets utilizing both solid wood and Thermofoil doors. We are not limited to the sizes in a catalog and we can produce a kitchen for you that fits like a glove and is tailored to your specific needs. Nobody knows how you use your kitchen like you do, so our designers will come into your home and sit down with you to help plan a kitchen design that will best suit you. On top of the cabinet work that we do, we also produce all of our countertop work in-house without having to sub that work out to other companies. We supply Granite, Quartz, and Solid-Surface kitchen countertops and it is all fabricated and installed by our expert crews that specialize in those areas. We want to get you back to being able to use your kitchen as soon as possible and we feel that we can do that better than anybody else. From cabinet refacing to new custom cabinets and everything in between, Cornerstone has the expertise to design a kitchen remodeling project that will leave you walking into your kitchen every morning saying “WOW!” When we reface and remodel your kitchen cabinets, we come in and remove and dispose of your existing doors, drawer fronts, hardware, and hinges. Then we lightly sand your cabinet exteriors to prepare them for the new laminate or veneer. New laminate or veneer is then applied to the cabinet box exteriors before the new doors, drawer fronts, hardware, and hinges are installed. Most kitchens can be refaced in one to three days. We can also add upgrades like crown molding, rollout shelves, and decorative end panels that will take your kitchen to the next level. With a new cabinet remodeling project, we will measure everything ahead of time to put everything into production.

The day we come out to remove your kitchen cabinets, everything is ready to be installed. We will remove your existing cabinets and dispose of them. Then we start installing the new custom-designed and custom-built kitchen cabinets usually that same day. Within a few days, you will have new kitchen cabinets and then you can move onto the countertop portion of the project. Whether you select Granite, Quartz, or Solid-Surface kitchen countertops, the remodeling process is basically the same. We will send one of our templaters out to your home when the countertops are ready to be measured. This step ensures that the countertops will fit perfectly when we come out to install them. Then, we take the template back to the shop to fabricate the new kitchen countertops. Within a week, we are back installing your new kitchen countertops. We remove the existing countertop and start installing the new countertop. Often, a countertop installation is completed in a day, while larger kitchens with full backsplash may add an additional day to the installation process.

At Cornerstone, we use quality materials, and we have quality people that fabricate and install them. When we reface cabinets, we come in and remove and dispose of your existing doors, drawer fronts, hardware, and hinges. Then, we lightly sand your cabinet exteriors to prepare them for the new laminate or veneer. The average reface using Thermofoil doors will save you approximately 30% – 40% off of the cost of a good quality new cabinet. Using wood doors, the savings is approximately 25% – 30%.Because everything we do is custom, from the cabinets we build to the doors that we use in refacing, we can make a few new cabinets to replace some existing or add on a new section to the kitchen, and then reface everything else to match. From the outside, it will all look like it has always been there.The labor involved in stripping and refinishing existing cabinet doors is extensive, messy, and the doors most often will not take the stain properly after they have been stripped.

It is actually more cost effective to replace the doors with new and re-veneer the existing cabinet boxes. Because we are so confident in the products that we offer in our cabinets, we offer a lifetime material warranty on any products that we manufacture against material defect for as long as you own the home. This includes our new custom cabinets with Thermofoil or Wood doors, and also cabinet refacing with Thermofoil or wood doors. We have experienced designers that will come to your home, listen to your needs, measure the project, and design a kitchen that will make the best use of the space possible. We use a computer design program that allows us to show you the layout of a new kitchen in 3D, so that you can see what the kitchen will look like before it is ever installed. Stock cabinets are mass-produced in a factory with no thought given to individual customers or individual needs. With a stock cabinet, you are limited to whatever sizes are in that company’s catalog.

As a result, there is often more dead space in a stock kitchen because there are extra large fillers to fill the dead space. Also, if a stock cabinet comes in wrong, damaged, or was forgotten on the order or not shipped at all, your kitchen project will be halted for a time until that cabinet comes in, which holds up countertops and other phases of the project from being completed. With custom cabinets, we use the space in the best way possible, and your cabinets are built just for you, not mass-produced and sitting on a shelf somewhere. Also, if one of our cabinets is the wrong size, or damaged, and we have to remake it, we will rebuild the cabinet box quickly and install it so that the rest of the project can keep moving along. Then, when the new doors are ready for that cabinet, we just install those, but the rest of the project was able to keep going. With custom cabinets, not only do you have a much sturdier construction and better use of the space, but you also have a much smoother install process and quicker turn-around times.
