They blamed it on Apple and told me they will try to get Apple to get me a new phone. It turned out later that it was all a lie because they never contacted apple.
They told me this lie just to get me to go away and stop complaining. What is disturbing was that every person at the store knew the lie and they acted like it was real every time I showed up to ask what is happening. It is like they practiced this scheme and have done it before to other people. To be fair, I've heard someone say good things about this place, so they can't be doing this to everyone. But I think the prospect of paying for a $400 phone that their tech destroyed was enough to bring the worse out of them, or at least I hope it doesn't get worse than this. This is a very unethical store. This store does not back up the performance of their used phones. Store policy is inconsistent at best and we were told by the owner that their policy is Zero Refunds even if their used phones do not work. I bought an AT&T Samsung S4 for $300. The owner of the store and a technician checked out the phone and said it was good to go. Next day I went went overseas for an extended deployment. When I arrived, the phone did not work because they sold me a SPRINT phone which was labeled as an ATT phone.
The phone was sent back to my wife ($40 freight) for a refund. They give her the refund of $300. But then since they had a used Samsung Note 2 in stock, my wife bought the Note 2 for $300.Once I received the phone, it works for about 3 days, and the phone froze up due to issues with some kind of installed 3rd party software instead of the factory AT&T software. The phone became completely unresponsive but drains the battery rapidly. The phone was sent back to the States for another $40 dollars. When my wife took the phone back to the store the owner was rude and refused to give a refund. His only reason was that that his store policy is ZERO REFUNDS EVEN IF THE PHONE DOES NOT WORK. He gave us the refund the first time but apparently he changed the policy. He stated that since he is independent and he owns the store, he does not have to give a refund. He was quite rude about the matter and apparently was intimidating and condescending to my wife. My wife is quite upset and will not talk to the owner again.
I believe Ifix and Sell” gave us unethical and sloppy service and I am out of $380 dollars with no recourse. I am still overseas which prevents me from dealing with this matter personally. Doing business with “Ifix and Sell” has been quite a frustrating and dark experience. ShareFlag11/01/2016Walked in (without appt.) after dropping my phone in a bucket of water and couldn't get the charger to stay in place (to charge and back-up)... Quoted $59 and fixed within the hour... Came back an hour later, the phone was ready and only $19.00!!! Recently got a phone from them and I could not be more satisfied. Customer service was great and professional. Will for sure be using their services in the future and will recommend them to friends and family. ShareFlag07/22/2015Very satisfied with the service and prices here :) extremely thankful to have this store so nearbyShareFlag07/21/2015I have been going to this place now for 5 years. They have repair all kinds of items for us and always have done a great job.
ShareFlag05/29/2015I wish there was the option of no stars. One of the worst experiences of my life. All I needed was for my screen to be replaced. When I finally got my phone back two weeks later... It was completely broken. My power button was pushed into my phone and the screen was flashing black and white dots. On my way to my car the screen started to come off my phone... She gave me $100 for my phone only after arguring for two weeks. I'm on the edge program with Verizon so I have to send my phone back. I had a hairline fracture on my screen... I decided to pay the $125 to get the scream fixed instead of $300 for sending in a broken phone... I should have read more reviews. I took my phone to a Verizon trusted and recommended store to see if they could work with it and try to fix it.... They said I had missing parts and that the screen was glued on incorrectly. Also my speakers were glued over. They Could not believe the condition of my phone. He was literally shocked. There are small businesses out there who deserve your business.
But do yourself a major favor and don't give ifixandcell a second glance.ShareFlag03/05/2015Great experience every time we have been in here for repairs and purchases. Customer service has always been excellent and above reproach!ShareFlag10/20/2014HIGHLY RECCOMMENDMy iPad charger broke the wrap around cover in the charging receptacle of the iPad. iFix roved the broken bit and ensured the port was able to charge. Took less than 60 seconds, and the repair was FREE! Apple said it was an 'extensive' repair and couldn't do it inhouse, wanted to sell me a replacement. This place is amazing!! I just moved back to the Jacksonville area and my brother told me he got his laptop fixed here so if I needed a phone or laptop repair to just to take it here to iFix. Well, one morning getting outta the car, my 1 year old was holding my phone and dropped it. It didn't just crack. Instead it cracked then dropped in the sewer. After retrieving it, I took it to iFix and explain what had happened. They worked on it and ended up having to ship it off for further repair (not because they weren't able to fix it, it was because of how bad it was cracked and water logged).
