Hardware meeting ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 standards may be furnished with doors and frames and installed in the field by others. Fire rated doors are available in:  A Label = 3 Hours, B Label = 1 1/2 Hours, C Label = 3/4 Hour, and 20 Minute Label Door Construction: Stainless hollow metal doors are constructed with face sheets of 16 or 14 gauge type 304 or 316 in No.3, 4 or 2b mill finish stainless steel.

Doors have 16ga or 14ga stainless steel vertical reinforcing channels running the full height of door on both hinge and lock stiles. The top and bottom of the door is reinforced with a continuous 16 or 14 gauge stainless steel channel. Both hinge and lock edges are fully welded. The seam welded edges and all reinforcement welds are ground and polished to maintain a smooth finish. Stainless steel doors are available in standard sizes as well as custom sizes up to 5’0″ width and 12’0″ height. Fire Rated: U.L. and Warnock Hersey fire labeled doors with 20 minute 3/4 hour, 1-1/2 hour and 3 hour rating are available with honeycomb cores up to a maximum size of 4’0″ width 8’0″ height single door or 6’8″ width 8’0″ height pair of doors. Reinforcement: Doors are mortised and reinforced for hardware. Mortised hardware and reinforcements are drilled and tapped at the factory. Reinforcements for surface applied hardware are drilled and tapped in the field by the contractor.

All reinforcing components shall be fabricated from stainless steel. Cores: Polystyrene, honeycomb and vertically stiffened hurricane door cores are available. Polystyrene cores are laminated to the inside face sheets to fill the inside of the door. Labeled doors have honeycomb cores permanently bonded to the inside face sheets. Vertically stiffened doors are constructed with an insulated core permanently bonded to the stiffeners and the face sheets and approved for hurricane conditions. Frames: Stainless steel hollow profile jams are brake press formed utilizing 16 or 14 gauge stainless steel sheets in type 304 or 316 with #4 finish.  Miters are aligned accurately with a tab and slot at head and jambs.  Jamb to header joints are mitered and reinforced as required for knockdown or face welded applications.  Frames are of various profiles to fit the application and shall have a industry standard 2" face with options for 4" face headers or custom faces and depths as may be required. 

Mortise hardware is drilled and tapped at the factory, while surface applied hardware is to be drilled and tapped in the field by qualified installers.  Anchors suitable for specific job conditions are provided. Stainless Steel Kickplates in standard 10", 18", 24" , or 36" height 2" Less than Door Width. 3. Head and Jamb Gasketing, Door bottom Sweeps , and or Thresholds. 4. Stainless Steel Lite Kit moldings with Safety Glass or Polycarbonate glazing in Single or Double Pane for insulating requirements. Fire Rated Glass is available where labeling requirements dictate.  Standard Sizes include: 6" x 30", 12" x 12", 18" x 18", 24" x 24", or 24" x 30".
