High Speed Defrost With Aluminum Tray An Aluminum Tray of high heat conductivity is placed at the bottom of the case. It controls and prevents dripping from meat and defrosts the meat efficiently at a higher speed without affecting the taste. *2 Carbon Dioxide is a useful component in Preservation Technology. It delays the loss of freshness by suppressing vegetable breathing and controls the action of an enzyme that resolves proteins (inhibiting the action of oxygen on the surface of fish and meat). Optimum Temperature In Vacuum Compartment The Vacuum Compartment with an Optimum Temperature setting of approximately -1°C/+1°C can be adjusted to suit the type of food and amount of CO2 present in the fridge.

Together with the Sub-zero Mode and Chiller Mode in the Vacuum Compartment, food items can be stored for longer without freezing. This ensures that the food items will not lose its original taste and texture. *3 *4 *5 *6 Convenient Storage In Vacuum Chiller Compartment Food items can be kept in its original state without losing their freshness, taste and nutrient levels. The Vacuum Chiller Compartment with its air-tight structure preserves and curbs the dryness in food whilst reducing the odourous components*7 of food stored. Food that has been opened does not need to be wrapped for storage and this saves the hassle of wrapping*8. Seasoning Absorb Faster Into Food The vacuum function in the Vacuum Compartment removes air from food which allows food seasoning to absorb at a faster rate*9 so that lesser time is required for food preparation. *7 Odourous components: Methyl Mercaptan (odours of onion and garlic), Trimethylamine (odours of raw food), Hexanal (odours of meat), Acetaldehyde (fermentation odours of miso and soy sauce), Propanel (odours of grilled fish) and Acetic Acid (odours of vinegared food).

The original cooling fan in the Freezer Compartment is designed to effectively cool the whole refrigerator system. However, as the Refrigerator Compartment is opened and closed more frequently, warm air tends to penetrate easily. Hitachi Original Advanced Flexible Vacuum Insulation Panel (VIP) Advanced Frost Recycling Cooling Technology In conventional cooling systems, frost formed on the evaporator would simply be melted and discarded. With Hitachi’s Advanced Frost Recycling Cooling, the cool air generated by the frost is recycled by sending it through the Refrigerator and Vegetable Compartments to cool the compartments even when the Compressor is not running. CFC-FREE Urethane / CFC-FREE Refrigerant Most of the insulation materials used by Hitachi are CFC-free.

Hitachi also uses a CFC-free refrigerator (R600a) that has less impact on global warming as compared to Chlorofluorocarbon *10   Convenient Eco Intelligent Control With Hitachi’s Eco Intelligent Control, which gives you a choice of energy-saving modes most suitable for your lifestyle, you can now save on electricity bills with less energy wastage. The new Travel Mode will also put your mind at ease when the whole family travels overseas for long periods of time. In addition to the Energy Saving Mode, Dual Fan and Frost Recycling Cooling, this refrigerator has reached an unprecedented level of eco capability. Travel Mode and Energy Saving Mode Introducing the Travel Mode that balances cooling power with usage frequency to prevent over-cooling when the fridge has not been opened or closed over a long period, thus greatly reducing power consumption*11. Perfect Moisture Vegetable Compartment The Vegetable Compartment of approximately 126-litres capacity*15 which is equivalent to 4.1 shopping baskets*16 has upper and lower layers that are perfect for storing the vegetables easily and neatly within. By using the Flap for separate chilling during Frost Recycling Cooling, moist cool air from the frost are sent to the compartment, enabling vegetables to retain its original moisture level and suppress dryness even after a long storage period.

The Temperature Sensor detects and controls the temperature to maintain the ideal atmosphere. *15 *16   *17   *18 *19 Freezer Compartment With a large capacity of approximately 206-litres*20 which is equivalent to 5 shopping baskets*21, storage of large items is so much easier. All your items can also be stored neatly and retrieved easily. 3-Layer Freezer Case Storing and retrieving items is now easier with the 3-Layer Freezer Case. Designed with Glass Fibre Plastic with lesser “rib” increased the storage space*22, which means the Freezer Case can now accommodate up to approximately 5 shopping baskets*21. It even allows beverage bottles to be stored in an upright position with extended storage height of about 23.5cm in the bottom tray. *20 *21 *22 Quick and Powerful Freezing During Quick Freezing cool air is generated in the compartment to chill the atmosphere at high speed. Together with the Aluminium Tray, food placed on it chills faster due to the fast conductivity nature of the material.

You can even place hot steamed rice directly into the compartment. Low Temperature Freezing Preservation at low temperature through normal freezing by setting the Freezer Compartment temperature to maximum Automatic Ice-Maker Compartment Ice cubes can be made automatically simply by filling up the water tank in the Ice-Maker Compartment. To ensure cleanliness of the ice cubes, the water tank is enhanced with a filter that traps suspended particles that are present in the water. The Ice-Making tray can also be easily removed for washing. And with Quick Ice-Making, it takes just 70 minutes for ice cubes to form as compared to 120 minutes with conventional Ice-Making.        *23 *24 Other Features Touch Control Panel The digital display touch control panel is superbly crafted for friendly usage.
