The following steps are for the MyQ Enabled Control Panel which is provided as part of the Internet Connectivity Kit. This door control panel is compatible with Security+ garage door openers manufactured after 1998 to current. Security+ garage door openers have either a Red/Orange or Purple Learn Button. To install the MyQ enabled door control panel Verify if the door control panel is compatible with your garage door opener. The 888LM is not compatible with commercial door or gate operators. One exception is the ATS model commercial door operator.

Unplug the garage door opener and remove battery if applicable. When the control panel is operational, the yellow command LED will glow steadily. If the yellow command LED does not turn on, reverse the wires connected to the "R" and "W" terminals of the control panel. garage door repair torsion spring replacement costReplace wire if necessary. If the yellow and red LED's are blinking quickly, the control panel is charging, and may take up to 5 minutes to become operational. See your MyQ instructions for your compatible wireless door control. Control panel will not program to Gateway If the control panel has been programmed to a gateway, it must be cleared from the original gateway before being programmed to a second one. If the control panel will not successfully program, replace the control panel. Control panel will not program accessories After the initial power up or a power outage, the control panel will need to cycle the garage door before it allows accessories to be programmed. Door Monitor or the MyQ App will not close garage door To eliminate being locked out of an open garage, if a power outage has occurred, the MyQ Control panel will not respond to the TTC and unattended close feature. The garage door opener must close and open the door before this feature will become active. To resolve issues with the MyQ enabled door control panel Remove the red and white wires for the door control panel from the back of the motor unit.

These wires are located on the same side as the hanging antenna. Note: You do not need to disconnect the wires for the safety reversing sensors. Use a jumper wire to jump (make a connection) between the red and white terminals on the motor unit. If your opener  using the jumper wire, replace your receiver logic board. If your opener activates using the jumper wire, reconnect the wires for the door control panel and proceed to step 3. Verify there is not excess wire connected to the screw terminals on the back of the door control panel. Any bare wires touching the circuit board can cause a shorted circuit. Check that the screw terminals on the back of the wall-mounted door control are tightened enough to hold the wires in place, but not over tightened. Finally, remove the wires from the back of the door control and touch the wires together. Note: These are low voltage wires, touching the exposed ends is safe. If your opener activates after touching the bare ends of the wires together, replace the door control.

If your opener does not activate after touching the bare ends of the wires together, replace the wires. The color of your door control wires may vary depending on whether your home was pre-wired or not. The MyQ enabled door control panel is polarity sensitive. Ensure to wire the wire connected to the R from the wall door control is connected to the Red terminal on the garage door opener. The wire connected to the W must be connected to the White terminal on the garage door opener. To check for proper connections, please see the Door control wiring diagram.
