Incidents of interest from the last week. Alcester Police South SNT. Weekly update and prompt. 7th February 2016This is our weekly update and prompt to see if you have any questions, suggestions or concerns for the Alcester Police South Safer Neighbourhood Team. Thank you to those that have contacted us this week.*Damage. Window of house smashed. Offenders were possibly in a purple Mercedes. 10.30pm Friday 5th February.*Suspicious Circumstances / Damage. Pharmacy, High Street, Alcester. White female went into the pharmacy and asked for a refund on an item. Female also damaged the sole of a shoe that was for sale in the shop with a small knife. (It is believed that this same female has also entered another shop in Alcester and tried the same tactic in asking for a refund on an item). This is deception type offence as the refund requested is usually for an item stolen from the shop. 4pm Friday 5th February.*Theft. Supermarket, Moorfields Road, Alcester. Theft of alcohol by way of shoplifting.
White male and female involved. Information suggests that these two are responsible for other thefts from the store. 08.39am Friday 5th February.*Vehicle Crime - Theft from. Theft of catalytic converter from underneath of van. Between 12.01am and 7.15am Friday 5th February.*Suspicious Circumstances. Ten Acres and surrounding area, Alcester. Several males in white transit van going door to door trying to sell fish. Men and van stop checked by SNT. Men on way back to County Durham and had fish to sell? 2pm Thursday 4th February.*Search Warrant. SNT officers carried out a search warrant at an address in Castle Road, Alcester. Property was seized from the premises. An Alcester male is currently helping with enquiries. Morning of the 4th February.*Theft. Theft of just over £300 worth of alcohol by two males, by way of shoplifting. First male described as white, 6', early 30's, short brown hair and beard, wearing blue jeans and a navy coloured jacket. Other male described as white, over 6', wearing dark jeans and a green quilted jacket.
Bottles of alcohol put into a green shopping bag and pushed out of the store in a trolley. 1.30pm Monday 1st February.*Vehicle Crime - Theft from. Travel Lodge Car Park. Works van broken into and a number of power tools stolen, totalling about £2500. Overnight 3rd & 4th February.*Suspicious Circumstances. Caller had found that during the night someone had tried to open the front gates to the property. Overnight 31st Jan - 1st February.*Damage. 2 Car tyres punctured on secure car parked on drive. Overnight 31st Jan - 1st February.*Burglary Other. Brick built detached garage broken into and several items stolen including a petrol chain saw, petrol strimmer and garden blower. Offenders cut the padlock off the garden gate to gain access, then have cut the padlock of the garage door to get inside. Overnight 31st Jan - 1st February.Eyes and Paws Events 2016 -The Rural Crime Coordinator Lucy Lambert has teamed up with Lisa Parkes the Dog Warden to provide a series of exciting events across the District.
