There are disabled spaces and dedicated parent and child parking bays available on this level. Britannia is just two miles from the city centre, and only 15 minutes' drive from Princes Street. Lothian Buses run frequent services 11, 22 and 35 to Ocean Terminal from the city centre (£1.60, exact fare needed), or you can take the Majestic Tour Bus from Waverley Bridge. A taxi costs approximately £10 from Waverley train station. We are open every day except Christmas Day and New Year's Day * Last admission on 24 December is 2.30pm and 31 December is 3.00pm. Your audio handset tour is included in the ticket price. The Royal Deck Tea Room is on board Britannia. It has stunning harbour views and offers table service. We serve speciality teas and coffees, soft drinks, beer and wine, and a delicious range of soup, sandwiches, cakes and scones. Tables are allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Yes, we accept Tesco vouchers as payment towards admission. They cannot be used for pre-booking tickets or with any other offer and are not accepted in the shop or Tea Room.

Yes, Britannia Gift Vouchers can be used for admission tickets, in the Royal Deck Tea Room or in the Britannia Gift Shop in Ocean Terminal. You can buy them online or call 0131 555 5566 (Mon-Fri). We also offer Gift Tickets which are valid on any day of the year. Please call to book Gift Tickets. Our online shop also has vouchers for Bloodhound day sails and our Burns' Night evening event. No, just before you board Britannia, you will receive an audio handset, this is used as your guide to tour the five main decks. The audio tour is available in a wide range of languages. There is also a children's version, version for visually impaired, English Braille script and tablet with British Sign Language. The tour is self-led and taken at your own pace. However, our excellent staff are available throughout the yacht to assist you, and perhaps even explain some of the finer points of interest on board. No, you are welcome to start your audio tour at any time within our opening hours.

95% of the original items from when Britannia was in royal service are still on board including furniture, artefacts, paintings and photographs. These are kindly on loan to Britannia from the Royal Collection. Highlights of the tour of five decks include the Sun Lounge, The Queen's bedroom, the State Dining and Drawing rooms which contrast with the working side of the ship, such as the Royal Marines' Barracks, the Sick Bay and the Engine Room. There is something for everyone; whether you are interested in the Royal Family, the Royal Navy, history, or just having a great day out. There are toilets and baby changing facilities in Ocean Terminal, our Visitor Centre and also on board Britannia. These are located towards the middle and end of the tour on the gold and grey levels. There are also facilities in our Royal Deck Tea Room and Sailing Exhibition. There is full wheelchair access within the Visitor Centre and on board Britannia. There is a lift alongside Britannia and ramps for easy access to all decks.

There is also an internal lift to the Royal Deck Tea Room. Unfortunately the Britannia tour is not suitable for Shopmobility electric wheelchairs, and the Royal Deck Tea Room is not accessible by electric wheelchair because the original onboard lift is not big enough. However, we do have five wheelchairs available for your use at no extra charge. For more information on accessibility, please click here to see our Access Statement. We recommend you allow 2 hours for your visit. In August you may wish to allow 2-3 hours as this is our busiest month. Also, please allow longer if you wish to visit our stunning Royal Deck Tea Room. We have an excellent Gift Shop that you can visit at the end of your tour or access directly through Ocean Terminal. It is next door to our Ticket Desk and Visitor Centre. You can also shop online. You are welcome to take photographs on board. There are some great photo opportunities on the outer decks. Britannia is available as an exclusive venue for dinners, drinks receptions, product launches and awards ceremonies.
