car glass repair jackson tn

Pros Tons of direct repair contracts, so you usually had a consistent flow of work and didn't have to wait for supplement approval to begin working on jobs. Clean, well lit facility, but it was that way before they purchased the shop I was working for, so I'm not sure I can credit them with that. The shop was fairly well organized, the equipment worked well and was modern and up to date. Cons Where to begin? As I stated in the title, you'll notice that most of the good reviews are office workers. Great pay, great time off, great treatment. Except the technicians don't have the same experience at this company. Sure you have a few here and there that get special treatment, but almost every technician I have known to work for this place will tell you nearly the same story. If you want to work for a company that treats you like slave labor, expecting more and more and more from you all the time while giving you less and less, then this is the place for you. The stress is unbearable. The treatment of technicians and office staff by middle and upper management is inexcusable.
When they purchased our company, the management told us they had never had technicians that didn't make more after starting to work for them. What they didn't tell anyone was that was from the extra 10-15 hours per week you were required to work in order to do that. And we are flat rate so there's no overtime for that. Then there's the "quality". I heard that term used often, though I rarely saw it. Think of the work coming out of this place as that of McDonald's. Ever had a quality fast food product? Fast and quality never go together. Gallons of body filler in panels, because it's more profitable to "repair vs replace", which you are graded on monthly and if you replace more than you repair you get a smack on the hand from management. Then if a panel is truly too far destroyed to even pile full of body filler, what you get is a part that resembles the part you removed from the vehicle, but probable made by child labor in China. You use ALL aftermarket parts. I was forced to put Chinese panels on someone's brand new Mercedes E class with 2,000 miles on it.
And that's their idea of "quality". Because they have profit margins to hit, and that's more important than what is being done to their customers vehicles. Oh yeah, you get graded on that too. Had to go OEM because you couldn't find aftermarket panels that fit? Shame on you, you'll get your hand smacked for that too. Oh but if you do get the pleasure of putting that garbage on someone's car, it will be all up to you to make it fit correctly, at your expense of course. garage door opener cedar park txYou also have all of your material usage calculated and tracked, to ensure than you don't use too much. garage door trim rottingThe guy next to you used .3% less sandpaper than you did last month? garage door service kissimmee
Well be prepared to get a talking to about that! And make sure your material cart is spotless and doesn't have something on it that it shouldn't, or the cart nazi will come around and take photos of it and send it to corporate so they can have management talk to you. These are only a few of the things you will be subjected to when working for this place. I'm sure I have left some terrible things out, there are nearly too many to list. price of liftmaster garage door openerDo your research, ask around, talk to techs that work there or have worked there. screen door repair marina del reyThey will tell you this is all true. car door lock mechanism stuckAdvice to Management Treat the technicians like people, not like slave labor. mortise door lock repair
How many of your office staff work in climate controlled offices, sit on soft chairs and walk on carpet, take half days and holidays, get more paid time off than the men and women in 100 degree shops, sweating and bleeding and pounding on concrete 10 hours a day or more? I'm not saying it wasn't their choice to do this type of work, but without their choice to do that your company doesn't exist in the first place. Your technicians should have the best of treatment because it is your income source. And stop with the shoddy work and inferior parts. If you want to be like Wal Mart or McDonalds, then don't sell yourself as more than that. It's misleading to the people who come to you for repairs.I tell every technician I come across to stay FAR away from this company, and all of my friends who have left this place do the same. I know a few poor guys who are still stuck working for your company and honestly they tell everyone to stay away as well. That is a testament to how you treat your people.
