The DS Group, which consists of DraftSeal®, Kristrack®, Eclipse Architectural® and DSD Hardware, has its head office, sales and manufacturing centre located in beautiful Vancouver, BC, Canada, with a second branch office, sales and manufacturing centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We also have numerous independent sales reps throughout North America. In 2010, a third branch office, sales and distribution centre was opened in Los Angeles, California to better serve our USA customers. We’ve grown from a one person company in 1960 to a company that now employs close to 70 people. Draft Seal Co. was founded in 1960 by Anton Kamensek then incorporated in 1973 as A.K. Draft Seal Ltd. During the 1990’s we became known by our trademark name DraftSeal®, the largest manufacturer of weatherstrip products in Western Canada. After his retirement in the early nineties, his son, Chris, who had been with the company since 1973, purchased DraftSeal® and started the Kristrack®, Eclipse® and DSD Hardware divisions.

The year 2010 marked our 50th year in business as a manufacturer and supplier of weathersealing and door sill products for commercial and residential applications. Our manufacturing centre in Burnaby, B.C., Canada, produces a line of weatherstrip and sill products for the prehung door industry as well as a do-it-yourself line of residential weatherstripping for the consumer market. KrisTrack Manufacturing Ltd., was formed in 1991 to compliment the DraftSeal® line of weathersealing and door sill products. KrisTrack® manufactures and supplies sliding and bifold door track with accompanying hardware and accessories. Applications include residential, commercial and industrial. Our manufacturing centre in Burnaby, B.C., Canada, also produces a line of specialty pocket door frames custom made in knock down, half knock down, and ready-made styles. In 2001, KrisTrack Manufacturing found an exciting new product that we definitely felt would enhance our existing product line. It was a new generation of hardware systems for exterior folding doors and windows from Australia.

The response to this product was so positively overwhelming that barely after the first year, a third company, Eclipse Architectural®, was formed to market this innovative product. This hardware has been one of the most popular to hit the wood door and window industry in years.
