I have owned 2 other Jeeps - 1988 Comanche short box with a straight 6, 1993 wrangler 4 cylinder and my favorite my 2005 Wrangler since the better suspension change since my 93. I get allot of complements on this Jeep and I take real good care of it. I know you either love a wrangler or hate them but since the new 4 doors I think more people with ... Anyway, when I got my jeep it came with 3 tops, the hardtop & hard doors, a soft top and a bikini top. I highly recommend getting a jeep with at least just the hardtop and maybe a soft top as well if you can swing it.

Parking on the street, (come on, you own a jeep) is easy enough so long as you keep it empty of valuables. you can also get locking compartment add-ons so you can still put the top down. One of the cool things about owning a jeep is it stays pretty clean inside because if you leave valuables, they'll get stolen, and trash will blow out, so it forces you to keep it clean!
french door upvc lockI also highly recommend you inflate your budget a tad so you can build or buy a cart to store the hardtop on, makes it much easier to store/move and takes up way less floor space!!
garage door repair in mercer county njI highly recommend buying a hardtop.
auto glass repair hurstI just recently purchased one for my 1997 TJ and I can't believe I didn't buy it 14 years ago when I drove it off the lot.

Here's why a hardtop for your Jeep is awesome...it's quieter, not much, but it is and you'll notice itit will allow you to put a rack and crossbars on the top for storage...this is huge for skis, boards, ladders, wood, the awful rug at Ikea your wife thought was a good idea....you get the pointhigher re-sale value....not that I advocate ever selling your Jeep but if you do, it'll be worth more with the topSoft top cons... for a used top....used tops are definitely out there and readily available for $1,000 to $2,000, it just takes a little bit of patience. Before you pull the trigger and PayPal anyone some money, see it in person first. Remember, the tops are fiberglass and ding easily and there are lot of knuckle-draggers out there who will tell you it's in "mint" condition when it's not. for 2 weeks and found a top in great shape with a Yakima rig already installed (pictured) for $1,500.Good luck and welcome to the Jeep ClubAbsolutely. If you don't have hard doors, though, you're probably going to need those, too.

Buying one used isn't a bad choice. One thing, though: an OEM hardtop has a defroster, wiper as well as a water squirter (yeah, that's the 'technical term'), which - if you want to have them work - means you need to get a wiring harness, different HVAC control panel, and a different right stalk on your steering wheel column (you don't, of course, need to add all that extra stuff if you don't plan on using any of those things). There are aftermarket places that make tops as well - Wild Boar Products comes to mind (Wild Boar Products), they offer a slant back top.Hardtops do solve some of the problem of road noise, but Jeeps are inherently noisy. The 2011 Jeep Wrangler is supposed to have upgraded noise suppression features. Hardtops also eliminate the ability of a thief to open your Jeep with a knife through the fabric or windows. Getting a hardtop off, however, is a major project. My feeling is why buy a car that rides like truck, sounds like a motorcycle and try to convert it into a sports car.
